I've seen some bad reviews on this switch, mostly from people with high-def TV's who couldn't get it to work correctly. The only problem I ran across was that to use the component outputs you have to have a high-def viewer.

My TV has component video inputs, but all I get when I hook the switch up to them is garbage. However, S-video looks fine.

I don't have a high-def or large screen TV. I have two Sony flat-screen CRT TVs, and the picture I get through this switch is fine for me. I have hooked up VCRs, DVD players, DirecTV tuners, and GameCube and PS2 game systems. None of them has a problem working with this switch.

I liked it so much I bought two. The auto-switch feature is what sold me on this switch. I admit it - once my seat hits the couch, I don't like to get up!
